The Beauty of Integrated Clerkship…
is being able to assess a patient emergency at the clinic, follow up an hour later at the emergency department with the ER physician, join the surgeon on call to operate on the patient, then round on the patient the next morning.
There is a continuity of care that is impossible to replicate in a classical rotation model. Being able to have that flexibility to follow them through various stages of care gives the medicine a whole new perspective.
