For prospective medical students, one of the most challenging aspects of an application is the personal statement. Instead of fill-in-the-blank forms, this is the one area to present yourself, your character, and your aspirations. It is deceptively simple but a challenging and arguably the most important part, as it is the one place to spread your wings and give your application its personality.
Roheet from the Biopsy, in collaboration with other students in the field have come together to create Lean On Admissions. The project is a fee-based, peer-to-peer consulting service to review your personal statement and offer feedback and suggestions to give you a more focused and succinct statement to better represent yourself on paper.
You can find out more about the service at their website. To learn more about Roheet, you can find his blog here.
