First Snow.

First Snow.

Snowed in.
As mentioned in my procrastinating post, I have have recently seen some heavy snow storms, blanketing much of the city in a white coat. I had taken the time yesterday morning and evening to go shovel the walkway and driveway. The problem is that the powdery snow, combined with biting winds, drifts all over the place.
I awoke this morning to find my driveway and cul-de-sac in worse shape than last night before I had plowed it. Some areas were 3 feet high due to drift. I was snowed in. It took me over an hour to shovel out enough snow to clear the cul-de-sac. Coming out is easy as the house is at the top of the hill. You can ride the snow down. There would be no safe return today. I ended up being an hour late to PBL. At least I made it right?

I finally got home last night. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the airport terminal was nearly empty last night. Most people must have taken flights days earlier. When I got home, I was greeted with a blanket of snow. Happy holidays everyone!

Snow!

A winter without snow just is not the same thing. We finally have enough snow to blanket the neighborhood. It’s fun to see but now there’s more things to consider. I’ll need to start shoveling the walkway soon. School wise, this could be a major setback—this is Vancouver after all. Chances are my bus is going to get stuck in the snow, all 2 inches of it; either that or it will not be able to drive up the hill right before my stop and get grounded.
